Anytime something is formally compared with a nuclear winter, I’m immediately depressed. When that something happens to be one of my most desired and cherished interests, things get downright dark. For this process to turn so petty (and so personal) among business men who’ve chased money their entire lives is an honest travesty, and one of the stranger, more pathetic ordeals the sports world has ever seen. Hopefully the justice system builds the player’s union a flashlight equipped bomb shelter, or the upcoming winter could be an especially somber one.
NBC ProBasketballTalk: The NBA has officially cancelled games through December 15. See picture above for my response.
Deadspin: Whenever the lockout ends/basketball resumes, one thing is for sure: Boris Diaw is not welcome back.
ESPNLA: A VERY interesting (yet anonymous) interview with an NBA veteran on how he’s handling the lockout. After reading this, my bet is it’s Metta.
SB Nation: If you aren’t sad enough yet, read this scathing review of Derek Fisher and Billy Hunter’s job performance.
