Roger Mason Jr. will rejoin the Washington Wizards next season, according to the Post’s Michael Lee.
At the moment, money particulars haven’t been made public, but Mason’s expected to sign for somewhere around the league minimum. So, how can he help? Well, on the court, not so much. But Mason IS 31-years-old, and he’s been a professional basketball player for some quality organizations, for a long time. His veteran presence in the locker room could help stabilize the young kids when things are looking bleak this winter.
He spent two years in Washington—2006-2008—and in his second campaign, shot an impressive 40% from three. He looked to be washed up in New York last season, but with Nick Young’s contract situation looking questionable, Mason should provide a bit of depth at the two guard spot.
