The NBA announced today the six contestants for the three-point contest in Orlando a week and a half from today, and Nick Young was not one of them.

The six participants will be:

James Jones (Miami Heat) – 40.47% from 3-point range

Mario Chalmers (Miami Heat) – 46.34%

Ryan Anderson (Orlando Magic) – 42.11%

Anthony Morrow (New Jersey Nets) – 41.96%

Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves) – 36.07%

Joe Johnson (Atlanta Hawks) – 35.57%

I was really looking forward to potentially seeing Nick Young — who is shooting 39.3% from beyond the arc, and averages 1.8 three-pointers per game — in the three-point contest.

Now America has been robbed of seeing Nick’s signature fadeaway on All-Star Saturday Night.
