TNT NBA analysts Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley picked their teams tonight for next weekend’s Rising Stars Challenge, and for some reason John Wall had to wait until the 12th pick to be chosen by Charles Barkley.
John Wall had 22 assists and was the MVP of this game a year ago. Add his production in the month of February, and the fact that he had to wait until the 12th pick out of 20 to hear his name called is beyond absurd. John has averaged 18 points, 8.5 assists, 4 rebounds, 1.4 steal, and 1.1 block per game in nine games in the month of February, and he’s shot 49.1% from the field.
Yet somehow Chuck and Shaq managed to overlook Wall for the likes of MarShon Brooks, Derrick Williams, Markieff Morris, and Kemba Walker, among others.
We know how competitive John Wall is, so hopefully this injustice only fuels his fire even more for the rest of the real NBA season after this exhibition game.
