The Washington Wizards have officially signed guards, Shelvin Mack and Garrett Temple; per the team’s official press release.
Temple was ranked number 29, on the NBA Developmental League’s official ‘call up list’. He has averaged close to 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game for the Reno Bighorns this season.
Unlike former Washington Wizard, Shaun Livingston, Temple seems to be able to create for himself rather than just solely distributing the ball. Temple has played for a plethora of NBA teams during his professional career, including the Rockets, Kings, Bobcats, and most recently the Spurs.
Garrett Temple obviously wont be a huge difference maker for Washington, but he will help them score the basketball as he seems to be a ‘score first’ guard. At 6’5, Temple will provide some versatility as he’s able to play both guard positions.
Temple and Mack will both be available on Wednesday night, when the Wizards take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
