NBA Trade Rumors: Wizards Guard Jordan Crawford Traded To The Celtics

Washington Wizards guard, Jordan Crawford, has been on the trading block for quite some time. Fab Melo was rumored to be in the deal, but it was later reported that Jordan Crawford would be dealt to Boston in exchange for Leandro Barbosa’s expiring contract. We’ll have more details as they emerge. For now, here is the tweet that broke the news.

UPDATE: Washington will also receive veteran big man, Jason Collins, in the deal which will send Jordan Crawford to Boston. After examining it, the trade doesn’t look very good for the Wizards. I expect them to use the money saved in the deal to either sign a free agent, or use it to extend Martell Webster’s contract during the summer.

Washington will probably look at the possibility of buying out Barbosa’s contract, since he isn’t expected to return from his ACL injury suffered this season.

Again, we’ll have more updates as they occur.
