NBA Draft 2013: Wizards Sign Otto Porter and Glen Rice Jr.

It’s official!

The Wizards’ third overall pick in this years NBA Draft, Georgetown’s Otto Porter, and Glen Rice Jr. who the Wizards acquired in a draft day trade, have both officially signed their contracts.

With Porter and Rice both officially under contract, the Wizards will have 14 of their 15 roster spots filled. In the past, Washington’s management has chosen to leave one roster spot open for flexibility and for possible trade situations. As Michael Lee pointed out, other than Jan Vesely, Chris Singleton and the two rookies, most of the guys on Washington’s summer league roster are essentially auditioning for other clubs.

Washington is preparing for their summer league campaign, which starts on July 13th against the Golden State Warriors with their annual summer mini camp, which actually started today at the Verizon Center.

All eyes will also be on Jan Vesely and Chris Singleton, who are also a part of Washington’s summer league team. Both Vesely and Singleton participated in Washington’s summer mini-camp.

Welcome to the Wizards, Otto Porter and Glen Rice Jr.
