The Washington Wizards have returned to the nation’s capital from Brazil, and they’ve already begun preparing for tomorrow night’s game against the defending champion Miami Heat.

Despite sitting out since September 14th, Otto Porter (hip flexor) is still listed as “day-to-day but been kept out for weeks. The Wizards returned to practice, but Porter has yet to participate with the team.

On the other hand, Al Harrington returned to practice after sitting out of Saturday’s game in Brazil.

Speaking of Brazil, Nene is still in Rio De Janerio for “family/personal reasons.” He won’t be available tomorrow against the Heat. I’d expect Kevin Seraphin to slide into the starting lineup.

Washington will start their regular season in about two weeks, so I’m interested to see if Porter will start to participate in team related practice prior to the start of the season. There doesn’t seem to be much concern regarding his injury, but it’s been a month since he’s done anything with the team.

We’ll keep you updated.
