Washington Wizards move down on ESPN NBA Power Rankings

After losing four consecutive games, the Washington Wizards haven’t looked nearly as good as we would’ve hoped after the first few weeks of the season and have ultimately slid on ESPN’s NBA power rankings:

Washington was previously ranked 17th in the power ranking, but after losing in disappointing fashion to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers in overtime at home, they fell and were lowered by six spots. The Wizards have had two days to recover from the loss and will try to pick up a victory tomorrow night against the much improved Minnesota Timberwolves, who are ranked fifth in the league on ESPN’s rankings.

Despite the disheartening losses, the Wizards still have time to get back on the winning side of things. Even though they have lost a few games which should have gone their way, it’s way too early to give up on their season. There are plenty of teams which have overachieved right out of the gate, and I have no doubt that the Wizards are capable of turning their season around before it’s too late.
