It’s that time of year, guys.
The Washington Wizards haven’t experienced the NBA Playoffs since 2008, but will have the opportunity to compete against one of the league’s premier teams on a national stage this year. The Chicago Bulls have battled injuries all season long, but have overcome them thanks to great coaching and elite defense.
Washington hasn’t gotten a nationally televised game in years and they’ll certainly have the chance to take advantage of their playoff seeding. As the fifth seed, the Wizards will take on the fourth seed, which is usually the most competitive series throughout the NBA Playoffs. Chicago and Washington are both very evenly matched and I’m sure it will make for an intense series.
Without further ado, here is the schedule for the first round of the NBA Playoffs, specifically the match up between Chicago and Washington:
- Game 1: Sunday, April 20th at 7:00 PM EST. Channel: TNT
- Game 2: Tuesday, April 22nd at 9:30 PM EST. Channel: TNT
- Game 3: Friday, April 25th at 8:00 PM EST: Channel: ESPN
- Game 4: Sunday, April 27th at 1:00 PM EST: Channel: ABC
- Game 5 (if needed): Tuesday, April 29th.
- Game 6 (if needed): Thursday, May 1st.
- Game 7 (if needed): Saturday, May 3rd.
Well there it is, folks. Mark your calenders, and get ready for some exciting playoff basketball.
Washington has won two of their three match ups against the Bulls during the regular season, and although they won’t get much attention, the Wizards have the chance to really make some noise.
John Wall and Bradley Beal are finally going to get their first taste of the NBA Playoffs, which is something I’m sure they’ve been looking forward to. But how well will they match up against Joakim Noah and the resilient Bulls? I guess we’ll just have to tune in.
I’m certainly excited to watch the Wizards compete on one of the biggest stages in the NBA. We’ll continue to bring daily coverage of the Wizards and the NBA Playoffs.
