NBA Playoffs: John Wall (Scratched Eye) Will Play in Game 4 on Sunday

Like plenty of other young guards in the NBA, John Wall had trouble staying healthy early in his NBA career, including last year where he missed the majority of the season due to a stress injury. Wall recovered, stayed in shape and bounced back to play in his first full season in the NBA, as he played in all 82 games during the regular season and the postseason.

With that said, he’s dealt with some minor injuries, including a scratched eye he got last night against the Indiana Pacers. Wall is expected to play tomorrow night in Game 4.

He was poked in the eye on a drive to the basket early in the second half. Teammate Bradley Beal says Wall “said a few times it was bothering him and that he couldn’t really see.”

Wall has played through eye injuries in the past and he went through a full practice today at the Verizon Center. Though his struggles can’t be blamed on the injury, especially since he struggled in games before the injury occurred, but it definitely didn’t help his case.
Washington will play tomorrow night at home, looking to tie the series at 2-2. The Wizards were blown out at home on Friday night and they must find a way to win tomorrow.
