After getting a 23 point blowout victory on the road against the Indiana Pacers in Game 5, the Washington Wizards will return home tonight in an attempt to tie the series up 3-3. Both teams have been rather inconsistent throughout the series, but they’ve also shown some resiliency after coming off blowout losses. Less than 10 teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the series, and if the Wizards want to make history, they’ll have to find a way to win at home tonight, which is something they’ve struggled to do against Indiana.
Here’s how you can catch the game.
Date: Thursday, May 15th
Start Time: 8:00pm ET
Venue: Verizon Center
Location: Washington D.C.
Series Lead: Wizards won Game 5, losing series 3-2
Game 6 Preview: Here
TV Channel: ESPN
Live Stream: Watch ESPN/ESPN3
John Wall had a breakout playoff game, scoring 27 points including 17 in the third quarter, in Game 5 and the Wizards will need him to continue playing well if they don’t want to stay home tonight. Marcin Gortat was also spectacular with 31 points and 16 rebounds, contributing to a historical beat down on the glass.
With that said, I don’t expect Washington to outplay the Pacers like they did in Game 5, especially since they’ve struggled at home in the series. Washington is capable of coming back from the 1-3 deficit, but they’ll obviously have to win tonight. You won’t want to miss it.
