Washington Wizards Links: Pixels, Pigs and Speculation

We’re just four days away from the NBA Draft and the Washington Wizards’ web has continued to produce more speculation pixels. Here are the Wizardly Links for June 22nd, 2014.

- Could C. Butler return to the Washington Wizards this summer? (via Wiz of Awes)

Caron Butler shot over 44% from three in 22 games with the Thunder, but I wouldn’t expect him to provide scoring at an efficient rate at this point in his career. Basically, whichever team signs Butler this summer won’t get much more than a good locker room presence and occasional scoring similar to that of Harrington.

- Jonathan Wasserman analyzes the Washington Wizards’ needs and how they could address it during the NBA Draft (via Bleacher Report)

There’s too much uncertainty with regard to the roster for the Washington Wizards to be looking to fill a need with a second-round pick.

- J. Wall enjoys wearing throwback jerseys…even if it’s an Indiana Pacers jersey (via CSN Washington)

On Saturday, Wall posted a picture with his mother, Frances Pulley, wishing his “superhero” a happy birthday.  He did so wearing a throwback Indiana Pacers jersey, Jalen Rose‘s No.5 it appears.

- M. Gortat is an unrestricted free agent and the New Orleans Pelicans could be a decent fit (via HoopsHabit)

That’s where free agency comes in, specifically Washington Wizards centerMarcin Gortat. Gortat, 30, was a key cog in the Wizards’ playoff run this season. He was actually one of the better centers in the entire Eastern Conference, and he was as efficient as any other big man in the league.

- Speaking of Marcin Gortat…he may or may not have a pet pig.

And that does it for today’s edition of Wizardly Links: Pixels, Pigs and Speculation.
