The Washington Wizards’ off-season is pretty much over in terms of roster changes, so we’ve finally begun to look at possible rotations and depth charts. Oh, and check out Paul Pierce hanging out with Al Pacino (!!!). These are the Wizardly Links for August 18th, 2014.
This upcoming season will arguably be the most important season in John Wall’s career, since it will be the first time the Washington Wizards will be entering the season with higher expectations than they had in the season prior.
Paul Pierce played around 28 minutes per game last year and I expect that to stay about the same this upcoming season. Pierce averaged close to 14 points per game, 2 assists and 5 rebounds in Brooklyn last year, and with John Wall by his side, those numbers could potentially increase.
- Not a big deal…just Paul Pierce and Al Pacino hanging out.
Wittman has to devise a more sound half court offense, and he now has the tools to get it done. Pierce, Beal and Otto Porter can be used off screens, and with more motion to tilt the defense, Wall has more options out of the pick and roll.
