Unless you’ve completely removed the internet or television from your life for the past week or so, you’ve almost certainly heard of the “ice bucket challenge” which has done a tremendous job spreading ALS awareness.
Well, Washington Wizards’ big man Marcin Gortat took the challenge to a different level. The Polish Hammer, or Polish Machine, took on the “ice bucket machine” challenge.

Paul Pierce was the biggest splash the team made this summer, who brings with him to DC a hall-of-fame pedigree. Although he’s nearing the end of his career, he’s still a player who can produce, and most importantly produce when the game is on the line.
Two of Wall’s most frequent targets aren’t around, at least not initially. Trevor Ariza was on the end of 165 of Wall’s assists last year. He’s now in Houston. Martell Webster was the finisher for another 79 of Wall’s helpers last season. He’s likely to miss time with a back injury.
