Washington Wizards Links: Team USA Dominates Finland, Nene Helps Lead Brazil To Win Over France and More

We’re just a month away from the start of NBA training camp, but for basketball fanatics such as myself, the FIBA World Cup will satisfy your needs before the season tips off.

We’ve got some results from today’s games as well as some Washington Wizards related links.

Enjoy.

- Team USA dominated the Finnish national team today, 114-55. (via FanSided)

If you want to get a good idea of just how bad things were for the Fins, they scored all but two points in the second quarter against Team USA.

- Washington Wizards big man, Nene, helped lead the Brazilian national team to a win against France (via CSN Washington)

Other than the low scoring, this game had all the elements of a Nene (five points) performance. Brazil’s offense ran smoother with the high IQ big man on the court whether inside or at the high post.

- Should the Washington Wizards add another wing player before the start of the regular season? (via Wiz of Awes)

By signing Paul Pierce, Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair, the Washington Wizards have replaced their losses this summer, but they still have a few question marks surrounding their team heading into this upcoming season.

- How will the Washington Wizards’ ticket prices be altered by their increased success? (via Forbes)

All of these price increases should be warranted by the play this season. It’s not likely the Wizards regress this year since a lot of their success can be attributed to breakout performances by young guards John Wall and Bradley Beal.

That’s it for today’s Wizardly Links.

Team USA will continue their FIBA play tomorrow afternoon against Turkey at 3:30PM ET.
