Your Mother’s Love

From childhood, this is your dream.

All those hours your parents put in picking you up and dropping you off, and the sacrifices they made for you, and your future.

Your parents believed in you, when you told them at 8, that you’re going pro and “mama you won’t ever have to work again.”

Your parents believed in something that wasn’t even there, and you can’t even believe in yourself now?

More from Wiz of Awes

You’re going to let a crowd, 99.9% of which never picked up a basketball influence you and let your mother’s hard work go to waste?

That mother – who worked 2 and 3 jobs so you can go to basketball camp, or worked nights so she would be there to drop and pick you up? Shame on yourselves.

You’re playing for your family, not the crowd. I don’t care if it’s home or away.

You owe your parents and grandparents, you don’t owe us anything.

You’re not where you are because of the fans, and you’re going to let them take food out of your parent’s mouth?

You’re going to let this Boston crowd, who wouldn’t even say hi to you on the street if you weren’t in the NBA, take your game away from you???

If you let that Boston crowd do that to you ever again – Be a man, and if you can’t then move to a place where men can protect you.

Washington fans, going to call you out, because Boston had no free-giveaways. The fans cheered on their team out of pride and respect, not because they were going to get some cheap chicken sandwich.
