The Washington Wizards are a few years removed from completely changing their team’s look after shifting back to a red, white and blue design, which has received mostly positive feedback from around the league.

Today, the Washington Wizards unveiled their first alternate jerseys for the red, white and blue colors, which was announced via a Monumental Network press release.

"The Washington Wizards announced today that the team will add an alternate uniform to their collection for wear during the 2014-15 season. The new jersey will be primarily navy blue with red color-blocking at the top and “Washington” listed on the front while the navy shorts will feature the secondary “Monument” logo."

Here is a photoshopped picture of John Wall rocking the new uniforms.

Although the new Washington Wizards alternate jerseys aren’t drastically different from the ones they regularly wear, I think it’s safe to say they look a lot better than some of the other team’s jerseys. The Washington Wizards undoubtedly have some of the best looking jerseys in the NBA, but I was a bit surprised that they didn’t implement the short-sleeved look.

Overall, I think the Washington Wizards did a good job for their first alternate jerseys. Hopefully they’ll be able to put them on display on national television this upcoming season.
