Washington Wizards fans are certainly sad to see Phil Chenier end his 33 year run as a Wizards game broadcaster. There are many great options to replace him, but bringing Tuff Juice home may be the best choice, according to two local stars.

As mentioned here, Phil Chenier’s time doing in game broadcasts has come to an end. While fans loved the chemistry he and Steve Buckhantz had, CSN leadership felt that the Wizards needed a new voice. We cried. We petitioned. We penned our thoughts. But as the summer moves on, the inevitable gets closer and closer.

The new voice the Wizards bring in seems likely to be a player, so who better than one of D.C.’s most popular former athletes, Caron Butler.

Well this week, Wale and John Wall seemingly cast their votes for Tough Juice, who maintains a TV presence by appearing on ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV, from time to time.

Now of course that tweet could reference Wale wanting to see Caron’s book turned into a TV series or movie, but considering that he’s a huge Wizards fan, we’ll assume the former. Plus, we already have great documentaries across the web.

Butler last played in the NBA during the 2015-16 season for the Sacramento Kings, but in his one year post retirement he has gotten a ton of experience doing in studio work, as well as guest appearances on game broadcasts.
