We’re about a month away from the NBA Trade Deadline and there’s already been speculation about a number of teams completing blockbuster deals.
Although the Washington Wizards are on pace to win 56 games and are sitting comfortably in the second spot in the Eastern Conference, it’s no secret that the team’s second unit could use some improving.
By waiving Glen Rice Jr., the Wizards have opened up a roster spot and will explore all options before signing a player for the remainder of the season. The team has been linked to Ray Allen, Jameer Nelson, and Nate Robinson, but NBA front offices are always talking about potential trades.
As the trade deadline nears, expect the Washington Wizards’ name to appear in more rumors.
Washington currently has multiple trade exceptions to work with and a few players at the end of the bench that haven’t gotten much playing time. I wouldn’t expect them to make a major deal, but it’s been a long time since the Wizards weren’t active at the deadline.
Here are five players the Washington Wizards could potentially target during the deadline.
