Washington Wizards: Top Six Candidates To Fill Their Final Roster Spot

Here’s another interesting name. A first-round pick back in 2010 by the Spurs, James Anderson was never able to find a role in San Antonio, and after stints in Houston and Philadelphia he’s found himself overseas with Lithuanian powerhouse Zalgiris Kaunas.
Anderson was an everyday player last year for the 76ers, averaging just over 10 points a game, starting 62 games. He’s not the quickest or most athletic two-guard, but Anderson is a powerfully built scorer who knows how to get his shot up on the drive and isn’t shy about tossing it up from long range.
Anderson had some really, really big nights last year, torturing the Houston Rockets especially – he had games of 36 and 30 points against them. Anderson hasn’t been an incredibly efficient scorer in his career (42% from the field, 33% from three) but the Washington Wizards might be able to use him.
He can put up some points in a hurry, and has the ability to create his own shot. Plus, at 25, he’d be one of the younger players on the Wizards roster. If you want someone who can provide instant offense, Anderson would be worth a look.
