Otto Porter: Finishing On The Left

It has been an open secret around the Washington Wizards’ players and coaches for the past season and half that once Otto Porter was given a shot, he would be a good NBA player.

Before the Wizards landed Paul Pierce last summer, there were whispers that Otto would slide into the starting 3 spot that Trevor Ariza left vacant after leaving and signing with the Houston Rockets. Once Wittman let Porter loose with more minutes in the playoffs, he came through and produced big time.

It is because of his play that losing Pierce would be a big blow, it wouldn’t crush the Washington Wizards the way it would have in the past. Even with the tremendous strides Otto has made this past season, he can still get better.

Otto loves going right and rarely goes left and finishes with his left hand. He should make a point to adding this to his game because as more and more game tape of him is available, opponents will force him to the left anyway.
