Henry Sims, career averages: 7.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 76% FT%, 48% FG%

Sims, the former starting center for the Philadelphia 76ers, is no longer in the NBA. That might seem like a damning statement towards Sims, but really, I just wanted to point out how bad the 76ers have been over the past several seasons. They had a borderline NBA player start at the center position for 73 games.

The former Georgetown big man is only 25-years-old and has shown some promise. He almost made the Phoenix Suns’ final roster, but was ultimately cut do to the sudden emergence of Jon Leuer.

Sims wouldn’t provide much rim protection, but he’s been an OK big at spacing the floor. Besides Gortat, the Washington Wizards don’t have another big man on their roster who’s capable of rolling and finishing inside. Sims would give Wittman another option in that aspect of the game as well.

Of all the previously mentioned free agents, Sims has the most talent and would fit in seamlessly.

Sims is currently in the NBA D-League and has put up some solid numbers. He recently scored 24 points in a loss.
