Al Horford

Can Al Horford be a franchise player? 7

Al Horford is not a franchise player and going on age 30, expecting more at this point would be foolhardy.

That being said, Al Horford is a good basketball player. The concern: are we seeing the start of a slight decline in his numbers that will continue, and what type of player would the Washington Wizards have at the end of a deal that starts north of $25 million annually?

Can Al Horford make the Wizards a contender? 7.6

Al Horford can absolutely make the Washington Wizards a contender in the Eastern Conference.

The Atlanta Hawks led by Al Horford were a 60-win team last season, the conference’s first seed, and appeared in the Eastern Conference Finals.

They were swept when reaching the conference finals, but with stronger guard play in Washington and his versatility, the Wizards would be a viable conference contender with Al Horford.

Can Al Horford be more popular than a Chik Fil-A sandwich? 3.8

No, no, no.

Al Horford should be able to make the Wizards a 50-win team, which would be their highest win total since 1978-1979.  That being said, this would be a true case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts in the battle versus Chik Fil-A.
