John Wall of the Washington Wizards is having an amazing 2016-17 season and there is solid evidence that he is in fact the best point guard in the league. Sunday night during the 2017 NBA All-Star Game Wall took a break from being the NBA’s assists leader and decided to show off his dunking skills with an awesome windmill dunk in the first quarter. You can check out the highlight below:

How did it happen? . . .

With about 35 seconds left in the first quarter the East was up by 48-44. On a deep inbounds pass Wall was able to sneak past the half court line and the West’s defense to catch the ball with a clear path to the rim. Wall then casually sauntered to the rim for a monster windmill dunk extending the East’s lead to 6. The West would eventually go on to win the NBA All-Star game. John Wall scored 12 points, six rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in 21 minutes in the losing effort.

John Wall and the Wizards are on pace to secure home court advantage in the NBA Playoffs:

With the 2017 NBA All-Star game concluded John Wall and the Wizards look to continue their hot streak. Wall has recently won Player of the Month in December 2016 and Wall is the first Washington player in about 4 decades to go to 4 straight NBA All-Star games. Wall however is not the only member of the team that is having a great season. Several other players on the Washington Wizards roster are having great years as well but the Wizards’ bench could use a little help.

What does that mean? . . .

While Wizards fans certainly hope Wall’s incredible season will carry the team through the playoffs and into the NBA finals. There is talk, however, that the Wizards front office might be making making moves to bolster the bench so that Wall and the team can get by the likes of Cleveland and others in the NBA Playoffs in the event that the starters alone cannot carry the load.
