Washington Wizards have slipped to the fourth spot and will likely face the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

The Washington Wizards have lost three straight games on the road to contending teams in the Western Conference. There’s no shame in losing to the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers or Golden State Warriors. But for the Wizards, this is pretty unfamiliar territory.

Washington hasn’t lost three straight games since November, when the Wizards were at the bottom of the standings alongside the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

After seeing the Wizards secure home court advantage for the postseason and put themselves in position to win 50 games, some fans are becoming antsy.

What is this team doing…losing?

Naturally, people become a tad impatient. There’s a recency bias. You’re only as good as your latest game, some say.

So for this week’s Mailbag Monday, we’ll focus on questions that are centered on the Washington Wizards’ future.
