No. 10 – Dwyane Wade, Chicago Bulls

Flash scurries into the 10 spot as Jimmy Butler’s sidekick, but Wade is not like the other members of this list.

One, he achieved plenty with sustained success as Miami’s main man, so Wade was content with accepting his role in Chicago. Two, he arrived with three championships on his résumé – two as LeBron James’ sidekick – which is more than everyone on this list combined.

Though he relinquished his star role, his star-talent did not diminish. Wade brings experience, energy, defense, speed (despite being 35), but above all else, he’s the best leader on this list.

He’s missed the playoffs only once in his 13-year career. In close games, he calls for the ball and knows what to do with it.  And even at his age, Wade was the second-leading scorer on his team averaging 18.3 points per game (PPG) on 45.6 percent shooting.

Will teams build around Dwyane? No. That is the only reason he is so low on my list. He’s no longer in his prime and will be retired within the next five years. But he’s still a savvy, veteran sidekick who can make a positive impact on any team.
