POWER FORWARD

Markieff Morris vs. Serge Ibaka

Both of these players represent the prototypical “stretch 4” in today’s NBA.

Serge Ibaka and Markieff Morris can shoot the three, play defense, and guard multiple positions. They stand eery similar in terms of stature, (Morris 6’10, 245 & Ibaka 6’10, 235) and stats. Here are their numbers from last season

Ibaka: 14.8 PPG, 6.8 RPG, 0.9 APG, 48% FG, 39.1% 3PT, 85.6% FT

Morris: 14.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 1.7 APG, 45.7% FG, 36.2% 3PT, 83.7% FT.

So who’s better? The numbers are very close, but they don’t tell the whole story. As a passer, and athlete, Keef takes the cake. But Ibaka is slightly more productive as a scorer and rebounder.

Ibaka’s greater shooting efficiency and defensive impact give him the slight edge over Keef.

ADVANTAGE: Serge Ibaka
