BENCH
Wizards: Tim Frazier, Jodie Meeks, Kelly Oubre Jr., Mike Scott, Ian Mahinmi
Raptors: Delon Wright, Norman Powell, O.G Anuybo, Pascal Siakam, Lucas Nuogeria
This may come as a surprise. You may even think I’m crazy, but here me out – the Wizards bench is actually better than another team’s.
Yep, that’s right. Although Norman Powell is the best reserve on either team, the Raptors lack much talent on the back-end of their rotation after that. O.G Anunoby is a raw, unpolished rookie who lacks any one definitive skill. While Delon Wright, Pascal Siakam, and Lucas Nogueria have shown flashes, they’re relatively unproven.
The Raptors are banking on a lot of their young rotation players improving this year, and there’s just no saying how productive they’ll be.
At the very least, the Wizards bench contains established commodities. It was a terrible bunch last year, but off-season acquisitions of Tim Frazier & Jodie Meeks, along with expected growth from Kelly Oubre Jr., should result in improvement.
On paper, Wizards reserves take the cake.
