The Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal has started this season off with a bang, with no signs of slowing down. He has been putting in an all-star performance this season, and is without a doubt one of the best shooting guards in the NBA.

Bradley Beal, of the Washington Wizards, has been playing every game to start this season as if it’s a playoff game. He’s been putting in maximum effort and leaves everything on the floor.

In the spring of 2015, during future Hall of Famer Paul Pierce‘s one season with the Wizards, he gave the Wizards backcourt some sound advice:

"“I talk to them a lot about mental preparation and consistency,” Pierce said. “I keep telling Wall and Beal, ‘You’ve got to make up your mind. Do you want to be good, or do you want to be great? Because if you want to be great, you gotta do it every single night, not just when you feel like it.’"

Beal has taken that advice to heart this season. Each game he appears to be playing better than the last. No more is the fear that if he falls will he get injured. He’s aggressively attacking the rim, and the paint on a nightly basis.

He took some slack for recently proclaiming the Wizards as the best team in the East. However, it’s that type of confidence that he has for himself and his team, which will propel Washington to the next level.

The two-way guard has been more than consistent. Lost in the noise of when LeBron James dropped 57 on the Wizards, Beal scored 36 points of his own. In their loss to the Suns, he had 40 points. When they crushed the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, Beal finished the game with 38 points. He was without a doubt the best player on the floor.

Most recently, the Truth told Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Wizards, that Beal is the best shooting guard in the East.

"“With Dwyane Wade holding that crown for years, being the top two-guard, I think Bradley Beal should be holding that crown now as the top two-guard in all of the East.”"

The sharpshooter has indeed been putting in an All-Star performance every night. He comes out aggressive and ends the game in the same fashion. There’s no sign of fatigue or missed cues when he’s out on the court.

Beal has definitely taken the leadership mantle by the horn. He’s clearly on a mission, and that is the Eastern Conference Finals. Of course, he should make one stop along the way to the All-Star game. But for now, fans get to witness an all-star performance every time he steps onto the court.
