The Washington Wizards’ John Wall is still battling soreness on his left knee, and is listed as questionable against the Trail Blazers on Saturday.

On Friday, it was reported that the Washington WizardsJohn Wall was listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The soreness in his left knee may be due to the two IVs he received, prior to playing against the Hawks. The IVs were administered because he was battling a cold and migraines. So it’s possible that there’s still fluid built up in his knee. However, the cause remains uncertain until the MRI results are in.

Wall doesn’t believe in rest or sitting out games. According to the two-way guard, that may be the only opportunity a child gets to see him play.

However, the season is long. Therefore, it’s better that Wall rests now, then have to rest down the stretch, as the Wizards fight for playoff seeding.

In addition, Washington doesn’t want history to repeat itself, because part of the reason the Wizards lost game 7 in the Boston series, was because Wall was tired and lost his legs in the third quarter. Last season, Wall didn’t sit out games for rest, or even get a breather during games, partly due to the fact, that he didn’t have a reliable backup.

It’s still early in Wall’s career as well as the season. If Wall has a choice to sit out on Saturday, maybe he should get rest. Then return on Tuesday, when the Wizards travel to Minnesota. With that timeline, he will get almost a full week of rest.

Wall is a warrior and for seasons’ past has played through injuries. But he has to start looking out for himself now, instead of that one fan who didn’t get to see him in action.

One shouldn’t compare the price tag of a game ticket, to the price of one’s health.
