After putting up a historic 51-points on Tuesday, Bradley Beal continued his all-star performance on Thursday, as the Washington Wizards blocked out the Phoenix Suns.

On Thursday, the Washington Wizards traveled to Phoenix to take on the Suns. It was not only a rematch, but a redemption game, after they blew a double-digit lead to the Suns in November.

It wasn’t happening again on Bradley Beal‘s watch, as he lit up the Suns, and the Wizards won, 109-99.

The rookie Josh Jackson started for Devin Booker, who will miss 2-3 weeks with a left adductor strain. While Greg Monroe came off the bench for Sun’s center Tyson Chandler (illness).

The Wizards started off the first few minutes of the game sloppy, with no transition defense and rim protection. Markieff Morris would add a sweet stepback jumper to go along with his three-pointer. While Beal put up 11 points to end the first quarter, as the Wizards’ shots started to fall.

Morris played a great game. He finished with 21 points, and knocked down 2 shots from deep.

After the first quarter, the Wizards dialed up their defense, and were in complete control of the game.

Bradley Beal continues his domination

After Beal came off his historic 51-points against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday, he continued his shooting onslaught. He ended the first half with 22 points. The sharpshooter also had a beautiful buzzer beater, ending the third quarter with 30 points.

He was aggressive in the paint and with his outside shots. In one particular play, he had a stepback jumper and drew the foul, to complete the 3-point play.

Beal would end the game with 34 points, which only included one 3-pointer. He was 7-for-9 from the free throw line.

After the game John Wall would take over the interview from Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington. He told Beal, “I aint never ever see you act like this. You’re getting bucket buckets”.

The Wizards bench was just beautiful

The bench had 39 points. Mike Scott put in another solid performance. Scott was perfect from the field, 3-for-3. He had 8 points in 12 minutes, including one from 3-point range.

While Tomas Satoransky was simply outstanding. He had 2 points, 5 assists and zero turnovers. Kelly Oubre Jr., who has been comfortable whether he’s in the starting lineup or coming off the bench, had another good game with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

The second unit has just been an absolute delight to watch this season. It’s getting to the point, where you can’t wait till they come in.

Ian Mahinmi kept up the momentum

This was the best game for Ian Mahinmi this season. He closed out the fourth quarter instead of Marcin Gortat. Although Mahinmi would later foul out with 2:29 left in the game. He had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Watch his hustle below, as he gets the putback.

Otto Porter is having the best season of his career, but he had an off night against the Suns, with only 4 points. Every player is allowed an off night, so not worried about Porter.

Gortat would end the game with 4 points and 8 rebounds.

On Saturday, the Wizards continue their road trip as they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers.
