The Washington Wizards are 35-games into the 2017-2018 season, and so far it has been an up and down season. Here’s how 2018 could be a whole lot better.

The Washington Wizards are 35-games into the 2017-2018 season and so far the season has been really weird. On Christmas Day the team defeated the Boston Celtics—the top team in the East. Two days later the Atlanta Hawks–the only team without double-digit wins, blew out the Wizards.

In the 2017 portion of this season, inconsistency has been the most consistent aspect of this year’s team. 2018 offers the Wizards a chance to get some things right.

(It is important to remember that this is a wish list not a list of resolutions. Two completely different things.)

Bradley Beal named an All-Star

Bradley Beal should have been and All-Star last year. Kevin Love did not play due to injury, the spot was open and Carmelo Anthony got it. That spot 100 percent belonged to Bradley Beal.

Statistically Beal led Anthony in every major statistic except rebounds and blocks. Anthony only got the spot because his name was more recognizable. It belonged to Beal.

This year will be a different story. While statistically Beal might not be having his best season statistics do not tell the entire story. Anyone who has watched Beal play should recognize that he is playing at an All-Star level.

Beal’s 51-point performance against Portland certainly helps his resume. Only two other players have broken the 50-point barrier this season (LeBron James and James Harden).

On top of that with Paul George, Jimmy Butler and Anthony all left the conference. Watching Beal and Wall take the floor together in Los Angeles will be fun for all Wizards fans.
