On Thursday, LeBron James and Stephen Curry selected their rosters for the 2018 All-Star Game. The DC Family that plays together would stay together, as Team LeBron selected the Washington Wizards‘ backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal.
This marks Wall’s fifth-consecutive appearance, making him the second player in franchise history to reach that hallmark. The first being Elvin Hayes who made eight appearances, 1972-1980. (Hayes made 12 consecutive appearances, 1969-1980).
The last time Washington had two players in the All-Star game was in 2008—Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison.
In addition, to the House of Guards being on the same team, Wall will also be paired up with his Kentucky Wildcat, DeMarcus Cousins. Which may be the closest Wizards fans will ever see the duo on the same NBA team.
The draft wasn’t televised. However, TNT s Rosalyn Gold-Onwunde reported late Thursday night during the Golden State-Minnesota matchup, that James with the first pick, chose Kevin Durant.
So Wall and Durant will be in the same uniform.
But the pairings don’t stop there, because Durant and Russell Westbrook will also be reunited. With James selection of Kyrie Irving, he appears to be bringing everyone together.

Comparing the two rosters it appears that Team LeBron has the better team. However, it should be a fun experience for players and fans alike.
It’s an honor that the Wizards have two All-Stars, and it should also provide the team with more national exposure.
On February 18, the All-Star Game will be televised on TNT at 8 p.m.
