On Wednesday, the Washington Wizards travel to New York to play the Knicks, their last game before the All-Star break. Will the Wizards have a point guard tonight? That and more in today’s game preview.

On Wednesday, the Washington Wizards travel to New York to take on the Knicks, in the final game before the All-Star break. The last time these two teams met back in January, Washington finished off New York, 121-103.

What a difference a month makes. The Wizards may be without a point guard tonight. John Wall is recovering from knee surgery, while the Bulls’ Bobby Portis effectively took out Washington’s remaining point guards.

It was clearly an accident when Tim Frazier ran into Bobby Portis’ knee. While Tomas Satoransky was knocked to the floor on this play by Portis on Saturday.

Nonetheless, Satoransky cleared the first part of the concussion protocol. While still waiting word on if Frazier, who had surgery on his nose, will be suiting up with a face mask.

The Knicks have a few injuries of their own. Unfortunately, Kristaps Porzingis will miss the rest of the season (ACL surgery). While Ron Baker is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury.

New York has also lost their last seven games. They’re going to try to break that streak with a win against Washington.

Right now Tim Hardaway, Jr. is in a shooting slump. After the recent Knicks loss to the Sixers, Hardaway has this to say about his game to the ESPN’s Ian Begley:

If Satoransky is unable to play, could it be a matchup of the two Tims? Or will a broken nose also keep Frazier out?

Otto Porter has been playing exceptionally well of late. This may be a night where everyone shares point guard duties, especially when Porter can push the ball up the floor.

Just like their last meeting the Wizards can’t allow the Knicks to control the tempo of the game.

One can also never count out Michael Beasley. But the Washington Wizards should win this game.

Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
