The Bad

The Wizards missed a golden opportunity earlier on this season to rack up wins against sub .500 teams before the schedule got difficult. The list of losses against those teams includes defeats at the hands of teams like Brooklyn (twice), Dallas (twice), Atlanta, Phoenix, Orlando, and the Lakers.

The Wizards have fared better against those teams as of late, compiling a 19-9 overall against teams with a below .500 record. However, take the Toronto Raptors for example. The Raptors are leading the conference with a 41-16 mark and they are an eye-popping 23-2 against teams that are below .500.

The Wizards record would look much better if they would have handled their business to the level of the Raptors or Celtics (20-5) against those lesser teams.

The injury to Wall has to be classified as bad. Wall is currently sidelined after having a procedure done to cleanup his nagging knee issues, which forced him to miss some time earlier this season.

He has missed has missed 20 games this season, and onlookers can tell he hasn’t been right since he first hurt his knee.

Wall has lacked explosiveness and agility all season. He was still voted to the All-Star game this season despite his ailments, a testament to his warrior mentality.

The five-time All-Star guard is still averaging 19 points and nine assists, which is a good sign for when he eventually returns to 100 percent. His return will make the Wizards that much more dangerous come playoff time.
