Scoring Two-guard

Bradley Beal‘s minutes have been a topic of discussion and concern this season, and for good reason.  At 36.4 MPG, Beal is among the league leaders in minutes played. There have been many instances where Beal has played the entirety of a quarter.

Beal’s minute total speaks to the lack of a viable backup shooting guard on the roster. Jodie Meeks, who was signed this past offseason to a two-year deal, was expected to shore up this area.

However, he’s been struggling this season, scoring 6.4 PPG on just 39% shooting. Meeks, known as a three-point marksmen, is hitting a career-low 32.8% of his looks from deep.

Yet, he did have the buzzer-beater three to send the game into overtime against the Celtics.

Despite his struggles, he continues to see consistent playing time off the bench, as the Wizards have no other viable options. Luckily, there are several talented scoring guards in this years draft.

Potential Prospects: Lonnie Walker IV (Miami, Freshman), Khyri Thomas (Creighton, Junior)
