Bulls came out charging

Although Chicago is out of playoff contention, they came out charging.

Lauri Markkanen knocked down three shots from 3-point range. Going 3-for-4 from long-range to open up the first quarter.

Justin Holiday would also light up the 3-point line, with two shots of his own.

Bobby Portis, off the bench, would knock down back-to-back threes.

The Bulls shot 72.7 percent from the field. They would end the first frame up 36-27.

The second quarter wasn’t much better, as Markkanen had a three-pointer at the shot clock and was fouled. While Portis had nine points in 13 minutes, 3-for-3 from downtown.

Chicago shot 11-for-17 from the three, while Washington only shot 4-for-16. Going into halftime, the Wizards would trail 68-59.
