On Tuesday, the Washington Wizards fell to the Houston Rockets, led by James Harden who lit up the three-point line. However, all is not lost, as I break down how the Wizards can have a deep postseason.

After a hard loss against the Bulls on Sunday, the Washington Wizards looked to bounce back against the Houston Rockets.

Houston with the best record in the West, also clinched homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.

While Washington entered the game in the sixth spot in the East, and is still playing for playoff positioning.

The Rockets lead the league in both made and attempted threes. So defending the line tonight would be key for Washington.

Houston just had too much firepower, beating the Wizards 120-104. Dropping Washington to the 7th spot in the East.

The Wizards can no longer pick their poison. If they land in the sixth spot to close out the season, then it’s Cleveland. The seventh spot, it’s Boston. They just have to be mentally prepared for both.

After being without John Wall for a good part of the season, the Wizards put in so much work to reach the postseason. When so many counted them out, the moment it was announced Wall would have surgery.

The fact that they are the playoffs is a great accomplishment in and of itself.

What was the alternative? They collapsed without Wall and next week is the end of their season.

Push through it Washington. Look how far you have come, don’t back down now.

What happened to Wolf Season? Stay hungry? We’re the best backcourt in the East?
