Look at the big picture

Too many times we focus on the present problem without looking at the picture as a whole.

There were those losses to the sub-.500 teams. It wasn’t so much the loss (they were bad), but what the Wizards said collectively after the loss. “We have to do better; we know what we have to do; we didn’t have any energy, any focus, etc.”

One had to laugh because the things the players said after the games, is what should have been said before the game. Then they sometimes would make the same mistakes the next game.

Again, in basketball as in life, there will be times where you have to find humor even in momentary failures. Those postgame pressers were one of those times.

They are paying now for losing those winnable games.

However, the fact remains, the Wizards still reached the playoffs, albeit they made their road harder. But they’re here, that’s the bigger picture.
