“Rest if you must but don’t you quit”

John Wall and his rest policy. Wall doesn’t believe in rest because that may be the only time a child gets to see him play.

That is a commendable attribute for a man with a tough guy exterior.

Sometimes we forget that we were children once. We didn’t pay attention to what the critics said about our favorite players or teams. All we knew is that they could walk on water and fly through the air.

Although Wall heard his critics, he rose above it to remember the children in the arena and at home, when he played through his knee injuries.

Wall should have rested sooner than he did. But these are competitors. They listen to their heart first and pain second.

He along with every player that steps out on to the court has the heart of a champion. Not because they won a ring, but because they have the belief that they can.
