Sato, Oubre and Mahinmi
Tomas Satoransky is a diamond in the rough, who shined the brightest when Wall went down. He played like a veteran.
The fact that Sato was fearless made this a winning season.
Which brings us to the silent giant—Ian Mahinmi. I know he’s not silent, but he had to have heard the criticism last season about his contract, his knees, etc. Yet, he stayed quiet as if didn’t hear any of the noise.
He let his game speak for itself this season. He showed up and made some incredible plays.
Kelly Oubre—You never had a dull moment and brought such excitement this season. During your shooting slump, when there was heavy criticism, I wrote: “You never need to quiet your critics. The only thing you need to do is quiet your doubts.”
But you performed spectacularly when you had to step in for Markieff Morris. In fact, when the Wizards were sluggish during parts of the season, they fed off of your energy.
You know what you need to do to take your game to the next level.
