Should Cousins be a Wizard?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Besides Cousins’ mother, the only person on the planet who could pull his headband and live to tell about it may be Wall.

If the Wizards wanted Cousins and they made the financial moves, which would have to include Otto Porter, Jr., could that happen—possibly.

As a fan of the game, I loved what Rondo, Holiday, Davis and Cousins did this season. I was quietly rooting for them to rock the West.

Before I didn’t believe it was a good idea for Cousins to be in Washington.

However, when Rondo signed last summer, the reasons why I didn’t want him in Washington was because of what the Pels were doing. They were proving everyone wrong. I thought, don’t break that up.

But again, it’s not what the fans, media, and sometimes the front offices want.

Cousins is holding the most important piece of the chessboard—himself.

Whether Cousins stays in New Orleans or goes elsewhere, whatever he decides will not only be the best for him, but the best for this game that we all love.

As long as he is playing in the NBA, the fans can appreciate the underappreciated DeMarcus Cousins.

Not to be a footnote, the in-depth interview by The Undefeatedalso discussed Cousins helping the family of Stephon Clark who was shot by two Sacramento police offices. He paid for Clark’s funeral. For the “stick to sports” crowd, there’s no politics in that—just humanity.

Editor’s note: The Undefeated delves into Cousins’ rehab process. He also plays chess every day. For those who regularly read my articles, know that I love chess. So whatever he decides, the only thing we can expect is checkmate.
