Tomas Satoransky of the Washington Wizards recently made some interesting comments about his place with the team. This article examines whether the backup guard can really back up his claims that he earned the right to run point behind John Wall.

Tomas Satoransky of the Washington Wizards recently made some interesting comments about his place with the team. This article examines whether the backup guard can really back up his claim that he earned the right to run point behind John Wall.

Sato wasn’t the first option during the postseason, will he be next season?

The 2017-18 NBA season for the Wizards was one of ups-and-downs. To start the season, they weren’t quite on the same page falling to sub.-500 teams, and blowing away leads. However, there were times where they just clicked.

Instead of listing the reasons why the Wizards fell short of their postseason goals, let’s look at backup point guard Satoransky, who rose to the occasion.

During the regular season, while Wall was out, Sato kept the team together running the Wizards offense.

However, when the postseason started and with Wall back in the lineup, Sato didn’t get to see the minutes that he believed he earned.

From the outside, it’s hard to say why Sato didn’t get the playing time he believes he deserved.
