What would it take for Scott to remain a Wizard

According to Hughes, the Wizards could use the mid-level exception to keep the forward:

"“In order to sign Scott, the Wizards would likely need to use their taxpayer mid-level exception. That affords them about $5.3 million per season to play with. Using that provision, they can sign a player up to three years.”"

I’m not going to write the praises of Scott. The Wizards know it. Will he go the way of Bo or will he stay home in Washington?

Players should always do what’s best for their family. So no matter what decision Scott makes, as the former voice of the Wizards once said, Rodney Rikai, you will always be #DCFamily.

As a fan, I want to thank Mr. Scott for the joy and electricity that you brought to this city. You walked onto the court unassuming, and you let that ball fly into the heavens. Defying every principle of physics and logic.

There were times this season, when other teams thought they had the upper hand. Then the camera would catch the scorer’s table. Yes, Scott was waiting to be checked in. I thought this team, doesn’t know what’s about to him them. Lightning, pure lightning.

Catch and release. Spin and release. Hop back on one foot and release. Every time we thought you were turning around to make a pass…swoosh. I don’t even think the ball knew where it was going.

Just complete magic.

You were the Wizards secret weapon, until you were a secret no more.
