Leadership of John Wall and Bradley Beal

Candace Buckner of the Washington Post provided an interesting update on the Howard acquisition. While covering the Wizards Summer League on Friday, with John Wall in attendance, she broke some news.

It was Wall who reached out to both Jeff Green and Howard to join Washington.

Wall is aware of Howard’s locker room issues. However, he knows that this is an opportunity for Howard to rehab that reputation.

The point guard added, “I can’t force him. He has to want to be able to change on his own.”

That’s true. Wall’s job is not to rehab people. His only job was only to rehab his knee. (Which was a miracle after the way he played in the postseason, as if he never had any surgery).

There will be times after games where players are upset how others played the game. That’s in every locker room, board room, or wherever people work as a team.

Although it’s not Wall’s job to “re-correct” Howard’s disposition, it is his job to lead the team.
