Washington Wizards: 30 greatest players in franchise history
6-foot-4 shooting guard Bradley Beal will go down as one of the best 3-point shooters in Wizards franchise before his career is over. With 862 3-pointers made already, Beal ranks second in franchise history already, just six makes shy of first place. Expect him to shatter that all-time mark this upcoming season.
Since being selected as the third overall pick by Washington in the 2012 NBA Draft, both sides have proven to be a match made in heaven. He’s had a decorated career so far with the Wizards, as he enters the seventh season in the NBA.
He’s averaging 18.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while he’s worn a Wizards uniform. Back in the 2016-17 season, Beal put up a career-high 23.1 points per game while shooting 40.4 percent from three-point range.
The seventh-year shooting guard is shooting 39.3 percent from 3-point range and 44.6 percent from the field through his career so far. After a strong 2017-18 campaign, Beal made his first All-Star game as a member of the Wizards.
He recorded a career-high 51 points on 21-of-37 (56.8 percent) shooting against the Portland Trail Blazers back on Dec. 5. while also shooting 5-for-12 (41.7 percent) from the 3-point arc.
Beal and John Wall have become one of the top backcourts in the NBA. With some help on the interior in 2018-19, they’re looking to turn a corner as a unit in the East. Currently, Beal ranks 13th in franchise history in steals (430), 15th in total points (7,585) and 15th in field goals (2,805). By the end of his career, he should finish in the top-10, at least.
