After losing their preseason opener, the Washington Wizards bounced back with a 121-114 win against the Miami Heat.

After dropping their preseason opener against the New York Knicks, the Washington Wizards captured their first exhibition win against Southeast division rival, the Miami Heat, in a 121-114 victory, Friday in the Captial One Arena.

Despite a slow start in the first half, the Wizards outscored the Heat 70-55 in the final 24 minutes to seal the deal for the win.

Following a tough night from the field in Monday’s game, Bradley Beal led the way with 20 points, going 8-15 from the field. Markieff Morris chipped in a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win. All-Star guard John Wall has yet to find his rhythm falling short of a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

Although they remain winless in the preseason, the Heat had a productive game as a whole. Miami was led by Justise Winslow and Yante Maten, who scored 17 points apiece. While the big fella, Hassan Whiteside, recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks in the loss.
