The Washington Wizards got their redemption against the New York Knicks last night, winning 110-98.

The revenge game was lopsided to say the least. Overall, the Washington Wizards played well as a team to beat the New York Knicks.

New York started off decently, but didn’t play much team ball. It appeared as though everyone was focusing on themselves and not what was best for the team. So much isolation ball was played and that’s where the Knicks lost their chance at being competitive Monday night.

Washington on the other hand, did just the opposite. They had seven players in double figures as they coasted to what seemed to be an easy win.

Bradley Beal led the charge once again with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 28 minutes of play. John Wall made a nice contribution and flirted with a triple-double, producing 14 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds.

The Wizards had two great quarters, the first and third. In the 1st quarter the team scored 31 points and 36 points in the 3rd quarter, generating a significant lead. The remaining quarters the Wizards were a little lackadaisical, but that will be fixed with time.

There was a scary moment for Thomas Bryant as he came down awkwardly on his leg. He had to be helped into the locker room and ended up spraining his right ankle and hyper-extending his right knee.

Before the injury occurred, Bryan was impressive. He had 7 points and 6 rebounds in 8 minutes. Bryant looked aggressive and determined while he was out there. Hopefully this doesn’t set him back to long as Bryant is showing he’s got good potential.

Here are 3 takeaways from Monday night’s preseason game.
