5. Markieff Morris

Looking for a solid bench player than can fill a roster spot for a few times a week? Markieff Morris is your man.

2017-18 Stats: 11.5 PTS, 5.6 TRB, 1.9 AST | 48.0 FG%, 36.7 FG3%, 82.0 FT% | 1.7 TO, 0.5 BLK

The three areas that you need to focus on with Morris are: Points, Rebounds, and Free-Throw Percentage. He does have a decent field-goal percentage, but any other stats that Morris can pour in on a nightly basis will be a bonus.

For the upcoming season, Morris should increase his 3-point attempts and his rebounds per game. Previously, he shot 2.8 three-pointers per game. This season, that should jump up to over 3 attempts per game. And his rebound average should increase to around 7 TRB with Dwight Howard clearing space in the middle.

Now, that the team has a legit center, Morris doesn’t have to concern himself with just keeping his body on the opposing teams biggest player. He can gather more rebounds, since in most cases he will be having a mismatch on a nightly basis.

Morris is a versatile big man. He can space the floor and get in out in transition. As we’ve seen before Morris can get a little shot happy at times, but that can work to your fantasy teams favor if he catches fire.

According to FantasyPros, Morris’ ADP (average draft position) is 164. This means that you could have a sleeper in your midst. He’s not going to be a superstar caliber fantasy player that can carry your team, but he can do enough damage to help the team get a win.

Fantasy Projection State Line:

14.2 PTS, 7.3 TRB, 2.3 AST | 46.0 FG%, 36.4 FG3%, 82.3 FT% | 1.9 TO, 0.8 BLK
